Often, people with dementia need assistance locating and using the bathroom. Our educated staff can assist with incontinent care while allowing the client to maintain the upmost dignity. For a modest fee, Monarch Senior Home Care can provide all incontinent products to be delivered directly to the home.
Maintaining a Safe Environment
When a Monarch Senior Home Care caregiver is with someone with dementia, family can be assured that their loved one is in a safe and secure environment. Our care staff does routine checks to ensure that ovens and stoves are not left on, strangers are not let in and animals are fed and tended to.
Therapeutic Redirection
Sundowners is a common for those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Our competent staff understands the importance of redirection and living within our client’s reality. These subtle techniques can reduce various behaviors correlated with Alzheimer’s.
Therapeutic Meals
Monarch Senior Home Care can serve a variety of therapeutic meals including “brain healthy” meals. For a nominal fee, we can even provide a set of blue plates to serve the meals on as studies show that contrasting plates can prompt the food to be better viewed and increase consumption.
Respite Care
When your loved one with dementia is at home, but you just need a little break, we are here to help. We know that it is difficult to take care of a family member if you are not taking care of yourself. Whether it is a couple hours or a couple of days, we can help give you some “you time” to refresh and re-energize to continue the labor of love being a caregiver.
